A therapist trained in NMT is educated in the physiology of the nervous system and its effect on the muscular and skeletal systems. The Neuromuscular Therapist is also educated in kinesiology and biomechanics and how to work in a clinical or medical environment.

Neuromuscular Therapy is an application that applies direct pressure to trigger points and scar tissue.  This pressure allows the trigger points to dissolve, thereby allowing the tissue to restore it’s natural state and eliminate pain patterns.  In addition, it can also break up any adhesions that have formed around the trigger point, or in any injured tissue which will allow the muscle to return to it’s resting state.
